Elias Naur d2085ab7c5 io/system,app: [API] move DestroyEvent, StageEvent, Stage to package app
They're only useful at the top-level event loop in combination with an
app.Window.

Elias Naur cb1e605203 app,io/system,layout: [API] move FrameEvent and Insets to package app
In the early days of Gio, FrameEvent was part of package app. It was
moved to package system to enable layout.NewContext be a convenient
short-hand for constructing a layout.

However, it seems the better design to leave FrameEvent (and Insets) in
package app, and move layout.NewContext there as well. More importantly,
the move allows us to replace the event.Queue interface with a concrete
type.

Inkeliz 90688fdd17 app,io/system: [API] add StageInactive when window is not in focus
Now, Gio will send one system.StageEvent with system.StageInactive when
the window is not active. It is implemented on macOS and Windows.

This change is not fully backward compatible, if your code compares
the Stage (`stage < system.StageRunning`), you need to consider
the new system.StageInactive.

Elias Naur 3f38e67ce0 io/system: add ActionInputOp to register window move gesture areas
The app.Window.Perform(ActionMove) is the wrong abstraction for
initiating a move gesture: Windows needs to know the move gesture
area at pointer move, and macOS needs to know the pointer button
down event that triggers the move gesture. This change replaces
Perform(ActionMove) with a new system.ActionInputOp that marks an
area movable.

Elias Naur b53cdfef8d io/system: remove resize actions
Allowing clients to initiate resize gestures is a waste: macOS
doesn't support them, and the only reason we added them was to
implement client-side decorations for Wayland. Now all desktop
platforms implement resize gestures as needed, and we no longer
need the system.Action actions.

Elias Naur 3d37491342 all: [API] replace unit.Value with separate unit.Dp, unit.Sp types
The unit.Value is a struct and thus more inconvenient to use than its
underlying float32 type. In addition, most uses don't need a general
value, but rather a specific unit given by the context. This change
replaces unit.Value with two float32 units, Dp and Sp. It also changes
variables and parameters of unit.Value to a specific unit type matching
the context. That is, unit.Dp everywhere except for text sizes which are
in Sp.

Switching to typed float32s has multiple advantages

- They can be constants:

const touchSlop = unit.Dp(16)

- Casting untyped constants is no longer necessary:

insets := layout.UniformInset(16)

- Calculation with values is natural:

func (s ScrollbarStyle) Width() unit.Dp {
	return s.Indicator.MinorWidth + s.Track.MinorPadding + s.Track.MinorPadding
}

The main API change is that calls to gtx.Px must be replaced with either
gtx.Dp or gtx.Sp depending on the unit.

It's much simpler to map the Android back button to a key.Event and
let the usual key filtering determine whether to block its default
behaviour.

Chris Waldon 512900c9b1 system: define new Locale type
This commit adds a Locale struct that captures language and layout
flow direction for the system. This information can be leveraged
by text shaping and layout code to make better choices.

Egon Elbre cdb288d1f9 app,io/pointer: [API] remove CursorNameOp and rename CursorName -> Cursor
It's now possible to directly user pointer.Cursor to add to the ops.

   pointer.CursorText.Add(gtx.Ops)

This is an API change. Use pointer.Cursor directly instead of CursorNameOp.

Elias Naur 414be0a0b3 gpu: Merge GPU.Collect and GPU.Frame
There's no meaningful reason to have them separate. The intention was to
enable rendering concurrent with other processing, but that's gaining
framerate at the expense of input latency and complicating ImageOp
semantics.

An interface for scaling dp and sp is overkill, at least for all
current uses. Make it a concrete struct type, and rename it to the
shorter and more precise Metric.

Elias Naur 8d9612f9aa layout,app,io/system: move Queue from app.Window to FrameEvent
Change gioui.org/commit/0e70fbc1262920a69c60409285795b6bb8701b09
added a note that app.Window.Queue must only be used during the
processing of a FrameEvent. The change was added because a Gio
user took the existence of app.Window.Queue to mean it was always
available.

This change reduces the scope of window Queues by moving it from Window
to FrameEvent, and minimizes the risk of misuse by not offering
Window.Queue at all.

Note that the gioui.org/commit/a937a7653439333b8c6fc30c7a6039b717339766
change moved Window's Frame method (named Update) to FrameEvent for the
same reason.

Elias Naur 36d1cd90f2 app,io/system: extract system events to separate package
Package app is the only package that depends on native libraries and
Cgo. Minimize its API, thereby minimizing Gio clients' dependency on
it. In the future, a headless, testing or remote "Window" should be
very easy to replace app.Window.
